Maybe your dream is to try Log Rolling! Or maybe just let your kids try it! Once again we will be offering "Log Birling" lessons to our visitors to the Down East/Acadia Region. Try your hand at a sport that is very unique, historical and native to Maine.

Over 100 years ago the Maine's River Drivers would ride the logs down the rivers, delivering their winters cuttings to the sawmills, much like the cattle drives of the Old West. Back then there were thousands of logs floating in the rivers and the waters were ice-laden, River Drivers were the most highly paid men in camp because they had the most dangerous job! You'll be happy to know that we have only one log in our pond and the water has no ice in it!
